On 24th June 2019, WHO published the first consolidated “living” guideline on self-care interventions for health. Following the publication of the guideline, the WHO held a self-care month, until 24th July 2019 – International Self-care Day. Today, in 2020, WHO marks the start of the 2nd self-care month.
WHO has produced a communications toolkit updated with a film on self-care, a Q+A, social media tiles and other recent material; and a social media kit. The WHO also announced that it would be setting up a community of practice (CoP) on self-care interventions for sexual and reproductive rights and health.
