Your Self Care Journey

We all have a journey though life. An important element of that journey is one’s health. it is now well understood that we can, and should take the lead in managing our own health.
The bad news is that there is an emerging epidemic of lifestyle diseases in most countries around the world- heart attacks, strokes, diabetes and cancer are responsible for over 63% of deaths globally, but much more in more industralised countries such as the UK (89% of deaths) China, (87% of deaths) and the US (88% of deaths) (WHO data). Today you are most likely to die of these diseases.
The good news is that we can all do something about the bad news. Lifestyle diseases are called that because they are substantially caused by the lifestyles we lead – insufficent exercise, unhealthy diets, tobacco and alcohol consumption.
