Behavioural change programme, blood pressure management

ISF Partner: Professor Petra Wark, Professor in Technology Enabled Health, Centre of Technology Enabled Health, Coventry University, UK.

Programme: Professor Wark is leading on the development of a series of mobile, automated coaching modules to assist people to help manage their blood pressure. The behavioural change modules aim to help people to develop a healthier lifestyle and guide users to reduce their salt intake, manage their alcohol consumption, adhere to the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet and sleep better. The user is then coached through automated conversations or via coaching messages that provide information and motivation to reach agreed goals. The conversations and messages sent are customized to the user, and progress is also shown. Prof. Wark has invited ISF involvement in the early stage assessments on healthy volunteers.
